Who knows where the time goes
Forgot how much I liked this song until I found it again on i-tunes
Wisdom for the credit crunch from Dickens: “My other piece of advice, Copperfield,” said Mr. Micawber, “you know. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery. The blossom is blighted, the leaf is withered, the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, and—and, in short, you are for ever floored. As I am!”

I've never heard of her before now but I liked the song. Is she Scottish? She sounds like she might be and I'm sure that was one of the Corries in an old picture there in the montage.
She died so young though! How sad.
Not sure if she had Scottish or Irish blood. Here's a link to her website. She had addiction problems and had a heavy fall that wasn't treated and died of a brain injury/bleed.

Have you listened to Corinne Bailey Rae? Brilliant.
BUt not many women singers will ever excel Billie Holliday..
I always love the tunes you play.
Jan, yes I've got Corinne Bailey Rae, I like her a lot, also like Madelaine Peyroux. And I'm looking forward to the new Feist album -she's Canadian and quite brilliant.
Thanks Pi. I'm a frustrated tone deaf singer, lol!
