"Carry a poem'

Edinburgh’s annual City of Literature reading campaign will give away thousands of free books & poetry pocketcards, and there’ll be a month of poetry events. I'm really excited about being involved with this great project and I can't wait to get a copy of the Carry a Poem book, which will be launched next week.

If you are interested my on-line entry is here. It is a great website , so if you do look be prepared to lose and hour or two!

That's an excellent piece on the Carry a poem site. Jackie's wonderful, and Julia's anthology - The poetry cure - which she did with Cynthia Fuller - contains some inspirational poetry. My arm has been twisted, so I'll be on the Cap site soon.

E'burgh really has some wonderful poetry events- I'm jealous!

Now that is a gain, not a loss, of time well-spent. How I yearn for such an event here.

Thanks all -we are very lucky here on the arts front, and sometimes I regret moving out to the sticks from the city. If I ever win the lottery I'll buy a wee studio flat lol!

That is a lovely entry Anna. I am familiar with Denise Levertov's poem about marriage; it is one of my favourite poems too.
I am sorry about your friend's news. Yes, life's a bitch sometimes, it really is.
It makes me happy though to think of you in your kempt, bare winter garden with seeds in your hand & looking forward to your flower-filled garden, come June. :)
