For my Valentine

This is the first 45 my old man bought me. I've known him 34 years now, been married for 30 this summer. He drives me mad sometimes, and at time I suspect I annoy him intensely too, but I would never want to have to try and get to know another soul as well as I know him, our history runs too deep. And who said I wasn't romantic ...... :)

There's nothing like a whole lot of shared history is there? I love the way you've described it.

Doesn't time fly when you're having fun. Incredibly this year - November - will be our 30th DV.
I think the level of intimacy would be unthinkable with anyone else.
Congratulations and may you have many more.

Thanks - I hope you all got suitably pampered. We went out to dinner on Friday night, as I has something on yesterday with my local writers' group and my son was back for the night too, as is working today.

This was my tune for him, but I liked Patti Smith's "Because the Night"

God thirty years, mass murders do less, with time off for good behaviour :)
