Jo Gibson's launch

I attended this last night and it was a really good. See Colin's blog for more details.

I'm trying to think of a venue for mine. I'm torn between my home town and Edinburgh as I have people in both places. A friend is seeing if she can maybe get a space for me at the university. But we'll see, much to be done before then.

Couldn't you somehow have 2 launches...or possibly 2 REadings??
Hope everything goes really well.

Knowing very little about it - and when has that stopped me - I would say Edinburgh would have more kudos.
Hoe exciting!

I don't know much either but I'd say people might enjoy making a day of it if you went to the big city. Maybe people could get together to travel or something, that could be fun.

Best of luck with all the planning! I'm delighted you're doing one. When's it happening?

Thanks all. It's probably going to be April. Needs planning as there are school hols then, so some folk might be away.

I've got a notion to see if the Quaker meeting house is free. I love the building and always feel like I'd like to end up a Quaker if I could get over my heathen phase.

Two launches? Sounds fine to me. The first one would be the official launch and the second would be labelled the (name of city/town) launch. I'll certainly try to get along.

For Sushi & Chips I had a Lowland Launch in Edinburgh (Poetry Library) and a Highland Launch in Callander, at my publisher's place. Both were great fun. Jane made sushi!
