Clearly they've never heard of back-up pumps/generators. I loved how the BCC refused to call a jobby a jobby or a turd a turd, or a poo a poo. It was called "solid matter"

Ach there's no other way to take it. Plus they used to pump it straight out there, till EU regs made them stop.
The water quality has been improving, but I would never, ever swim in it.
I hope the environmental scientists remember to take their paddles with them up the Forth. It would be terrible for them to find themselves up Shit Creek without one.
Exactly! Seems to be fixed now, but who knows what damage has been done.
