The Lion that Roars
Shameless is running this project and I think I have managed to adopt lion number thirteen, who is posing beautifully here.
Vermilion
a lacquered lion stalked
a ridged roof of terracotta tiles
till lightening struck and he leapt down
to pad past pagodas, tip-toe through the tea
house and out through the moongate - off to seek a soulmate
in far away lands still red in tooth and claw

Oh I almost picked this one. I like the poem too.
Excellent apprentice,
Yes, lion 13 is officially in your care. your comment got lost on the bottom of lion 47 for some reason ... but another in the circle (Minx) passed on your choice. welcome!:) you details will be added to the circle blog soon.
Thanks Verilion and thank you Shameless.
I have adopted a lion too - or am in the process of anyway ... You have certainly done justice to your one. Congratulations!
Have also enjoyed 'catching up.' Loved the music clips.
I sent my Mum here to read some of your wise words and she liked your lion too! ... And your blog in general.
Thanks all. I'll catch up with you all this weekend. I've been really busy with committees and photographic projects this week.
Lovely to meet you aprentice. We can't have too many mature women in our pride.
